Introduction to the Usage Characteristics of Bidirectional Geogrid
Release time:2023-05-06 Browse:79 Source:Feicheng Lianyi Engineering Plastics Co., Ltd

Bidirectional geogrids are formed by extruding, forming plates, punching, and then stretching longitudinally and laterally with high polymer polymers. This material has significant tensile strength both vertically and horizontally, and this structure can also provide a more effective load-bearing and dispersed ambition chain system in soil, suitable for large-scale bearing foundation reinforcement. Below, the editor will explain to you the strong durability of bidirectional plastic geogrids, which can form a good overall structure with the soil.
The bidirectional geogrid has strong tensile strength, and the mesh of the bidirectional geogrid can constrain the lateral deformation of the soil and form a good reinforcement effect. Before filling the roadbed, it is necessary to organize the surface of the roadbed, including weeds, humus, debris, soft soil, and other impurities. After the organization is completed, the entire paving site needs to be leveled. According to the basic principles of roadbed construction, the roadbed should be vibrated and compacted to ensure that the bearing capacity of the roadbed meets the requirements.
Before laying bidirectional geogrids, it is necessary to ensure that the flatness of the laying surface meets the requirements. Generally, the flatness should be controlled within 15cm, and the laying surface should not have crushed stones, large particle stones, etc. Lay the bidirectional plastic geogrid on a flat and good underlying layer, and mark the laying scale of the bidirectional geogrid with wooden stakes. When paving the two-way geogrid, it is necessary to straighten it, make the surface of the geogrid flat, and tightly adhere to the lower bearing layer. The overlapping length of two adjacent bidirectional geogrids should be controlled within a reasonable scale, and the general overlapping width should be controlled within 300-600mm. The overlapping width of the upper and lower layers of the double-layer bidirectional plastic geogrid should be staggered at a certain interval. Generally, the staggered spacing between the upper and lower layers should not be less than 50cm, and U-shaped nails should be used for anchoring.
The U-shaped nails should be arranged in a plum blossom shape with a spacing of no more than 1 meter. The spacing between the edges of the embankment on both sides of the bidirectional plastic geogrid should be kept at 1.5 meters. In order to maintain the integrity between the geogrid and the soil, it is necessary to fold the geogrid back onto the compacted filling layer. The exposed bidirectional geogrid needs to be covered with soil. In addition, when the soil composition data shows damage during construction, it is necessary to promptly replace the damaged parts of the bidirectional plastic geogrid.
