How to solve the problem of damage to geomembranes
Release time:2023-05-06 Browse:68 Source:Feicheng Lianyi Engineering Plastics Co., Ltd

Damaged geomembranes can affect their normal use, so they need to be repaired in a timely manner. The repair of geotextile has requirements, and the raw materials used for repairing holes or cracks should be the same as geotextile. After the laying is completed, make relevant damage records and immediately carry out repairs. Some overlooked details, such as fine needles and small iron nails, may cause damage. The layered laying of needle punched geotextile and geogrid can be connected to each other, which has the effect of reinforcing drainage. Geotextile materials are used as drainage systems, geogrids, and spun geotextiles.

The use of geomembrane can meet the anti-seepage requirements of highway engineering. The correction should be extended to an area 0 centimeters beyond the scale of the damaged geotextile. In specific operations, different geotextile materials can be selected for composition, making the reinforcement effect more effective. When correcting damage to geotextile, the raw materials used to correct holes or cracks should be consistent with the geotextile. Geotechnical components can be reinforced and impregnated with soil slopes. At the bottom of the landfill site, assuming that the geotextile tears beyond 10% of the total width of the coil, the damaged part should be disconnected, and then the two types of geotextiles in the vicinity should be disconnected.

In terms of reinforcement effectiveness, compared with needle punched composite geomembranes, geogrids and reinforcing geotextiles can be amplified and dyed, while needle punched geotextiles have water permeability on the plane of the geotextile composition material that geogrids and geotextiles do not. The composite geomembrane used is mainly a polyethylene film with a thickness of 0.2 meters and a fixing agent, which has no anti-seepage and waterproof properties. It has a service life of 30 to 40 years under water purification conditions.

The construction team cannot wear work shoes or construction items that may damage the geotextile. The construction team cannot use geotextiles in dangerous ways, such as smoking or poking soil with sharp objects. It is necessary to strictly control the heat reduction and ensure that the composite geotextile patch is tightly connected to the geotextile, and cannot be swallowed together. Assuming that the cracks on the slope exceed 10% of the total width of the coil, the geotextile roller should be removed and replaced with a new roller.
