The steel plastic geogrid is formed by welding its bonding points using a special strengthened bonding fusion welding technology, forming a single strip formed or clamped at a certain distance between the longitudinal and transverse directions, which is called the steel plastic geogrid. Steel plastic geogrid is a composite high-strength tensile strip made of high-strength steel wire (or other fibers), specially treated with additives such as polyethylene or polypropylene, and extruded into a rough embossed surface. It is a high applied force reinforced geotextile tape.
The laying surface of the steel plastic geogrid should be relatively flat. After the acceptance test of the paving layer, in order to prevent longitudinal deviation, white lines or hanging lines should be drawn on the paving layer according to its width before paving can begin. The tensile force of steel plastic geogrid is borne by high strength steel wire woven in warp and weft, which produces high tensile modulus and longitudinal and transverse ribs under low strain capacity, giving full play to the grid is interlocking effect on the soil.
The longitudinal and transverse bars of the steel-plastic composite grid are woven into a mesh by the warp and weft of steel wires, and the outer layer is formed in one go. The steel wire and outer layer can coordinate with each other, very low (not exceeding 3%), and the main force unit is low steel wire. By treating the plastic surface during the production process, rough patterns are pressed to enhance the surface roughness and improve the steel plastic composite geogrid and soil. The width of the steel plastic geogrid can reach up to 6m, which can achieve economic reinforcement effects.
Then fix both ends of the grille with nails, 8 nails per meter wide, with a uniform fixing distance. After fixing both ends of the steel plastic geogrid, use a paver to slowly unfold the geogrid forward, manually tighten and straighten it every 10 meters until one roll of the geogrid is laid, and then lay the next roll. The operation is the same as before. After laying one roll, use a 6T-10T roller to roll forward again. The lateral constraints on the road base can effectively distribute the load to a wider sub base, thereby reducing the thickness of the base, reducing engineering costs, shortening the construction period, and extending the service life.
